The Managing Director provides high-level leadership and strategic oversight across all BHE Foundation programs and operations. This role ensures alignment with the organization’s mission, manages major initiatives, and supports Directors in executing their portfolios. The Managing Director leads cross-team coordination, oversees organizational performance, and ensures sustainability through partnership development, resource management, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all BHE initiatives.
• Manage Directors and guide program execution, communications, development, and outreach.
• Oversee budgets, timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
• Strengthen partnerships with funders, community organizations, and institutions.
• Ensure program alignment with mission, vision, and annual goals.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and team development.
• Represent the organization publicly and ensure high-quality brand representation.

The Director of Programs & Operations oversees all BHE programs, including the Summit, Policy Explained, Healthcare Directory, Podcast, and Mentorship Program. Ensures smooth operations, program quality, and successful execution.
Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all BHE programs.
• Supervise Program Coordinators and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Maintain timelines, workflow processes, event logistics, and program materials.
• Track program data and outcomes.
• Support cross-program collaboration and innovation.

Director of Communications will leads BHE’s brand, messaging, and content strategy across all platforms.
Responsibilities
• Oversee branding, social media, newsletter content, web presence, and public-facing materials.
• Supervise content creators, designers, and communications team members.
• Create communication plans for major events and campaigns.
• Ensure messaging aligns with mission, values, and organizational voice.

The Director of Development oversees fundraising, grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement for the BHE Foundation. This role ensures financial sustainability through strategic relationship-building and resource development. The Director also supervises development interns, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to support their professional growth and contributions to development activities.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including donor outreach, sponsorships, and annual giving initiatives.
• Lead grant writing, proposal development, and management of grant deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with donors, funders, community partners, and institutional supporters.
• Create and manage fundraising materials, pitch decks, and donor communications.
• Track fundraising progress, budgets, and stewardship processes.
• Oversee development interns, including onboarding, assignment supervision, skills coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Provide leadership and professional development support to interns to build capacity in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit operations.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to align development strategies with organizational goals.

Program Coordinators support Directors by managing day-to-day operations, coordinating logistics, and overseeing program tasks. Coordinators ensure smooth execution, follow-up, communication, and tracking for assigned initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, events, mentorship sessions, and digital content.
• Manage scheduling, communications, follow-up tasks, and program materials.
• Support recruitment of participants, mentors, speakers, or partners.
• Track deliverables, data, attendance, and program engagement.
• Provide administrative support and assist with content development as needed.
• Serve as the main point of contact for program participants when required.

Team Members support the Foundation through flexible responsibilities across communications, programs, events, research, or community engagement. Most roles require 3 to 5 hours per week, depending on the position. Directors and Coordinators may have slightly higher commitments during peak program periods.

Team members generally serve for one program year (12 months), with the option to renew or advance into a leadership role.
